A Kitchener fundraising team built on people

Intergalactic Marketing Group is a door-to-door fundraising and canvassing office based at 165 King St W in downtown Kitchener, Ontario, led by owner Bilal Shaukat.

Our fundraisers head out across residential neighbourhoods in Kitchener-Waterloo to have real conversations with residents and sign up monthly donors for registered Canadian charities. Monthly giving gives charities steady, predictable support, and every sign-up starts with a friendly knock.

We hire for attitude and train for skill. If you are a student, starting your career, or looking for something more active than a desk job, we will teach you everything you need to know.

A day in the field as a door-to-door fundraiser

Canvassing jobs in Kitchener and Waterloo with us are active, social and team-based. Here is how a typical shift comes together.

Do I need experience to become a door-to-door fundraiser?

No. No experience is needed. We provide paid training, and you learn in the field alongside an experienced team.

What is the schedule?

Shifts run from 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM. We ask that you are available at least 3 days a week, and both part-time and full-time positions are available.

Is this a sales job?

You are not selling a product. You talk with residents about registered Canadian charities and invite them to become monthly donors. It is a people-focused role, and the communication skills you build carry over to many careers.

How am I paid?

Fundraisers are paid hourly, from $18 to $30 per hour (CAD), and your training is paid too. We can go over the details during your interview.

What should I wear?

You will be outdoors and walking for much of the shift, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. We will go over any specifics during your interview.

What does the hiring process look like?
